Hiyaaa! Well it feels like its been ages since I've actually posted anything! Because, the way I blog is, sometimes, I'm really in the mood to write posts and just want to write about anything and everything. So I write as much as I can in as many posts as I want and then schedule them. It also gives you time to actually not have to worry about not blogging. Also, when you don't have any words, and you're forcing things out on the keyboard, you can SO tell. So whilst I'm motivated and have 'verbal diarrhea' I do a few posts at a time!
ANYWAY, onto the topic of this post! I've been meaning to write about these primers for a while, as I've been using them and have been very impressed.
Rimmel London Fix and Perfect PRO Primer - 002
What it says; Skin-perfecting formula for 5-in-1 results: smoothes, resurfaces, brightens, mattifies and protects. Prolongs foundation wear.
Now, I can guarantee you it does MOST of the above. I love this product. I can really tell when or when I haven't used it under my foundation. It makes my pores practically invisible, doesn't make my foundation go blotchy, gives a smooth even canvas to apply too. Mattifies my skin when I don't want to wear foundation. It pretty much does what it says on the tin.
The packaging is very simple, like most Rimmel products. I would however prefer it to be in a pump bottle, as sometimes too much comes out as a little does really go a long way with this.
The only thing I would say I didn't notice with this, is that it brightens the skin. I'm unsure what 'brightening' really means. I know that sounds daft, but I never notice if things do 'brighten' my face. Maybe that's just me!
I have never used any other primer so I can't compare, but to be honest, there's no need for me to try anything else now. As this is in my price range, and works well for me for now!
Rimmel London EXAGGERATE Undercover Shadow Primer
What it says; Rimmel's unique primer to maximise the colour and wear of your eyeshadow. Makes colour waterproof. Apply to lid, let dry, apply eyeshadow colour.
Now, with this product, I think I got a shit batch and it was already half empty, because not much was on the applicator when I first used it. So that was instantly a cross in the bad book. I love the way you apply it, and it gives a satiny shiny finish when applied which does look really nice. And it does help my eyeshadow stay for slightly longer than without it.
But by no means does it make the colour waterproof. I was actually pretty dissapointed with this product, as I am such a Rimmel lover! And compared to the face primer, it is just pretty crap.
I will be buying this again but only until I can get my hands on some Urban Decay Primer Potion. I can't wait to try that. So I don't know what to make of it. I'm torn. I LOVE Rimmel so much so it's hard to say that I don't like a product. But every brand has a downside I suppose!
Have you tried either of these? If so did you like them?
Love Hannah
